Jacquelyn "Jackie" Niebuhr passed away peacefully on February 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on November 18, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Frederick George and Agatha Estelle (Hornback) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Kendall E. Niebuhr on August 17, 1944 in New York City, NY. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye. For many years she enjoyed traveling throughout the US and Canada in addition to sewing and quilting. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. In the mid 1970s, Jackie and Kendall sponsored two Vietnamese young men for American citizenship.



She is survived by her devoted children: Susan ( Ray) Lux, Alan ( Beth) Niebuhr, Kerry ( Nancy) Niebuhr, Kathy Olday, Lori ( Randy) Taylor; her beloved grandchildren Patti ( Mike) Lux- Weber, Tracy ( Chris) Lux- Buie, Scott ( Alicia) Lux, Donnie ( Tammy) Olday, Niki ( Johnathan) Jones, Katie Gilkerson, Jonathan Niebuhr, Laura (Tim) Niebuhr, Vanessa ( Don) Smith, Melissa Niebuhr and Janelle Taylor; and treasured great- grandchildren Holden, Jaxen, Benjamen, Ashley, Alex, Austin, Kaden, Kevin, Donald, Jayden, Billi Jo, Johnathan Jr, Justin , Jakob, Connor, Donovan, Jacob and Tate. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Kendall; daughters Carol and Kathleen; and grandson Jerrod Olday



A memorial service for Jackie will be held 11:00 am, Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Tree of Life Chapel at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge, 5565 Tancho Drive in Madison. A visitation will be held from 9:30am until time of service at the chapel.
