Jack Phelps

Sun Prairie - Jack V. Phelps, age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 13, 1926 in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin the son of Edward and Maude (Rathburn) Phelps. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Jack was united in marriage to Flavian Brooks on December 19, 1946. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Sun Prairie. Jack also volunteered at the Colonial Club in Sun Prairie helping in the office and delivering Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Terry Becker) Phelps and Donna (James) Ruland; grandchildren, Sean, Heather and Matthew; great grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin, Jackson and Beau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, David and brothers, Duane and Max.

Private services were held.
