Irene S. Bothum, age 91 passed away Friday, November 9, 2012. She was born on September 5, 1921 the daughter of the late Gustav and Caroline (Wedvick) Moen. Irene was born and raised in the area of Rockdale and Cambridge. On July 25, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Bothum at First Lutheran Church in Stoughton. Irene enjoyed bicycling, canning, gardening, walking and playing piano.
Irene is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert; loving mother of: Robert of Bradenton, FL; Kristen Phillips of New Haven, CT, Debra (Scott) Monk of Juneau, Patricia (John) Grilli of Ocoee, FL, and Rebecca (Donald) Kretlow of Rhinelander; grandmother of, Jennifer, Andrew, Joseph, Emily, Gina, Benjamin, Nathan, Troy, and Anna; and great-grandmother of, Mike and Mia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gladys, Marion, and Julian; sons-in-law, Robert and Dennis; parents-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton. Family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery South, Stoughton.
