Ida Marie Bloedow of Madison passed away on Monday June 10, 2013 at her home from complications due to diabetes and heart disease. She was born on March 31, 1935 in Madison, WI the daughter of Sylvester Blankenheim and Josephine Brashi. She married Donald Bloedow on May 16, 1959 in Madison.
Ida graduated from Central High School. She was employed at Western Union for many years. She loved to bake and sew and her passion was being a homemaker and mother.
She is survived by her husband Don; son Steve (Megan) Bloedow, grandchildren Ashley and Amber Bloedow and David Thiering, sister Judy Carlson, cousin Vicki McDonald and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughters Shari and Suzanne and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13th at 11:00 am at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison with a visitation from 10-11:00 am prior to service.
Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
