Madison - Hiram Wurf, age 45, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on January 30, 1970 to Helen and Harold Wurf (both deceased) in New York. Hiram was nurtured and raised by Robert and Jeannine DuBois. He graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey, and went on to attend graduate school at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Hiram was passionate about politics and strived to make a social change for people. He was a lovely soul. Hiram is survived by his wife, Amy; his children, Megan and Joel; his parents, Robert and Jeannine; his siblings, Avram Wurf, Sophie (Jason) Plante, Dimitrios Hilton, Miriam (Chris Mayer) DuBois, David (Mary Ann Swerdfeger) DuBois, Jenny (Brian) Kotmel; his aunt, Ruth Wurf in New York City; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darrell and Kay Erickson; his numerous nieces, nephews, and other family; his dear friends, Kunal Pujara, Ajay Israni, Rob Freedman and Doug Henk; and other friends and colleagues. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Garner Park, 333 S. Rosa Road, Madison. A catered dinner will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a non-for-profit of your choosing.
