Herbert Huber

Madison - Herbert Ludwig Huber, age 91, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 1, 1924, in Deansville, Wisconsin the son of Michael and Anna (Meindl) Huber. Herb served in 101st Airborne Division during WWII taking part in the Battle of the Bulge. He was united in marriage to Helen Thompson in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on February 12, 1949. Herb was active at the Colonial Club in Sun Prairie managing and working with fellow volunteers in the woodshop and served on the Board of Directors.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Huber; a son, Michael (Vicki) Huber; daughter, Janis (Stephen) Hawkes; grandchildren, Christopher (Erin) Huber & Blair (Jennifer) Huber and Kathryn Hawkes; great grandchildren, Brenden, Bailey, Brady and Jack.

Herb was preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Should one wish to, memorials of remembrance would be appreciated to Sun Prairie Colonial Club or Shrine Children's Hospital.
