Helen Elizabeth Lyngaas Myers passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 with her loving husband by her side. Helen was born in Milwaukee on August 11, 1942 to Bert and Kathryn Lyngaas. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1960. After high school, Helen went on to attend UW-Milwaukee followed by UW-Madison. Helen went on to be a Certified Ophthalmic Technician for UW-Eye Clinic for over 30 years, retiring in September 1997.

Helen married the love of her life, Frank Myers, on July 23, 1994. After they retired, they enjoyed traveling internationally and domestically. Internationally, their favorite destinations were in the Pacific Islands and Seychelles Islands. When not flying to a wonderful island, they drove throughout the country in their RV; spending extra time in Utah.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Frank L. Myers; sister Kay Ford; step-children Jeff (Xochitl) Myers, Jennifer (Randy) Coombs, and Monica Beals; grandchildren Tom (Jasminh) and Erik;great-grandson, Franklin (arriving May 25); nieces and nephews Kathryn, Jay, Krista, Kevin, Kimberly, and Jenne; and dear friend Laura(Mark) Kassel. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 11 am at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 6205 University Ave..   Helen's burial  service will follow at 1 pm at Natural Path Sanctuary, 2299 Spring Rose Road, Veronal.  

 In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s name may be made to UNHCR,  Dane County Humane Society,  Friends of the Zoo, or St. Dunstan's Church .
