Helen Davidson

Helen B. Davidson, age 97, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Oak Park Place.  She was born on December 15, 1924, to John and Mary (Strassmann) Wittmann.

Helen grew up on a farm near Plain.  When she was 18 Helen moved to Madison, where she worked until she married the love of her life Harley Davidson on July 17, 1948.  They moved to the shores of Lake Kegonsa in 1956.  Helen kept busy gardening, sewing and knitting, and raising their four children.  After the children were grown they enjoyed retirement on the lake until Harley passed away in 2003.  After Harley’s death, Helen moved to Skaalen Village in McFarland where she enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in social activities at the clubhouse.

She is survived by her children, Tom (Kathy) Davidson, Kathy (Jim) Penisten, and Greg (Mary) Davidson; her grandchildren, Sarah Davidson, John (Mandy) Penisten, Alan (Stephanie) Penisten, and Mark Penisten; and brother, Francis Wittmann.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harley; son, Robert; granddaughter, Sharon; six sisters; and three brothers.

Private services will be held.  Burial will take place in Town of Dunn Burying Grounds.
