Hazel Mae Johnson

DEERFIELD   JOHNSON, HAZEL M.   Hazel M. Johnson, age 86, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at City View Altercare in Madison.   She was born November 27, 1922, in Deerfield, the daughter of Ernest and Della (Nelson) Gottschalk.   She was a member of the Deerfield Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Deerfield.   On February 6, 1943 she was united in marriage with Robert Johnson, Sr. in the state of Oregon. Survivors include 2 sons: Robert ( Sharon) Johnson, Jr. of IN and Steve (Lori) Johnson of Cottage Grove, a grandson Chris Johnson of Appleton, a granddaughter Wendy (Dave) Kamenick of Mauston, a former daughter-in-law Priscilla Johnson of Appleton, 1 great grandson, Allen and 2 great great grandchildren Wyatt and Arianna. Her husband, Robert, son, Thomas, her parents, 4 brothers, and sister, preceded Hazel in death. Private family services will be held at a later date.
