Harriet Pritchard of Monona, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Agrace.
She was born on January 20, 1930, to Eugene and Mabel Holzschuh in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
She began her working career as a switchboard operator and held positions as clerical and bookkeeping support for various business. While working for Nagle-Hart, she met William “Bill” Pritchard. They were married on June 20,1967. Her interests included gardening, playing euchre with her card club, roses, and watching professional golf, tennis, and Wisconsin Badger sports of all kinds.
Harriet’s love of dogs began with miniature poodles, transitioned into professional dog grooming, and evolved into breeding and showing Bichon Frise. Her passion for the breed was the catalyst for enduring friendships. Harriet was a lifetime member of both the Badger Kennel Club, where she held the position of AKC Delegate, and the Bichon Frise Club of America.
“You know I tell it like it is,” was her tagline, and she did.
She is survived by her daughter, Stefani Pritchard, and many dear friends who she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a number of beloved poodle and Bichon Frise companions.
The most attractive sound in the world is a puppy’s bark of welcome for its master. If I do not find dogs in paradise it will not be paradise for me, and I shall promptly apply for a transfer to the other place.
