Harold Wells, Jr.

Harold Herman Wells, Jr., age 75 passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Heartsong Assisted Living, Belleville, following a lengthy illness. Harold was born in Chicago on May 4, 1937, one of 10 children to the late Harold and Byrtle (Vance) Wells. He was a graduate of Belleville High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army. On September 5, 1964, Harold was united in marriage to Ruth Miller. Harold worked for Uniroyal for 37 years until his retirement. He was a member of Covenant Lutheran Church. Harold enjoyed gardening, genealogy and traveling.

Harold is survived by his son, William Wells; grandchildren, Kimberleigh and Parker Wells; siblings, Barbara (Richard) Anderson, Robert Wells, Sharon (Douglas) Prestegaard, James Wells, Janet (Dean) Olson, Jack (Beth) Wells, Terry and Ricky Wells; sister-in-law, Judith (John) Smith; and brother-in-law, Herbert (Pat) Miller. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and infant brother, John.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at church following the service.
