Hannah Eileen Tincher

Stoughton- Hannah Eileen Tincher, age 93, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Stoughton Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Logan Township, Peoria County, Illinois, the youngest of 11 children to Bennett and Folena Johnson. 

Eileen grew up on the family farm and graduated in the top 10 of her class from Manual Training High School in 1947. She worked at Keystone Steel and Wire as a payroll secretary. On February 8, 1951 Eileen married George “Van” Tincher. Together they enjoyed camping, restoring antiques, and tending to their Victorian dream home. 

Eileen was an AVON lady for 15 years and taught chair caning for MATC in area communities. She was a woman of many talents, including matting and framing, furniture upholstery, gardening, and was an excellent seamstress. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Eileen is survived by her three children, Melanie (Daniel) Williams, Mark (Brenda) Tincher, and Lynelle (David) Byrne; nine grandchildren, Wynne (Emily) Williams, Wesley (Megan) Williams, Wade (Ashley) Williams, Nicholas (Allison) Tincher, Riley Tincher, Cody Tincher, Joel (Jamie) Byrne, Beth (Bradley) Aguilar, and Brett Byrne; and seven great grandchildren, Liam, Cole and Dahlia Williams, Stella and Collette Tincher, Cooper Aguilar, and Olivia Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Camille Tincher; and 10 siblings.

Private memorial services will be held. Memorials may be made to Stoughton Hospital Foundation or Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
