Gregory Michael Christopher Sheehan

Sun Prairie-Gregory Michael Christopher Sheehan passed away with his wife of 30 years, Luann, at his side on September 9, 2010 at the UW Hospital, Madison, Burn Center. He was born on November 23, 1948 in LaCrosse. Greg was formerly from LaCrosse and graduated from Logan High School, LaCrosse, class of 1966. He entered the Army in May 1967. He completed basic training at Fort Campbell, KY and was also stationed at Fort Rucker, Alaska. Greg was a squad leader in Viet Nam. He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry, 3 awards of Army Commendation and 2 Purple Hearts with oak leaf clusters. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on September 22, 1975. He was employed by Soo Line Railroad as a signal maintainer. Greg spent his retirement painting landscapes and abstracts. He also found pleasure in his gardening. Greg's sense of humor, kindness and love shall be missed by many. Honoring his wishes cremation will take place and no service is scheduled at this time.
