Gregory Alan Ericson, 68, of Madison passed away on Wednesday February 28th, 2018. He was born on October 22nd, 1949 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Roy Ericson and Anna Potter. He lived in Green Bay until the early 1970's when he moved to Austin Texas. He returned to Wisconsin in the late 70's-early 80's. He was passionate about his craft of woodworking, and furniture making, as well as fly fishing, prairie restoration, architecture and the Dane County Farmer's Market on the square. He loved to go to Montana and fish on its great trout streams. One of his proudest accomplishments was his role in the restoration and preservation of the Wisconsin State Capitol Building in Madison in the 1990's. He has many dear friends who know him as a dedicated and generous person. Greg was always willing to share his time and his talents with others. He became a parent at 47, when his daughter was born and again at 50, when his son was born. He was so proud of his children's accomplishments. Greg found great happiness and love in his relationship with Julia. They shared many hopes and dreams for a long life together.
