Grace Hyslop

WAUNAKEE, WI - Grace Buffington Hyslop, at the age of 101, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Waunakee Manor. At her side, were staff and caregivers who have dutifully and affectionately looked after her for the past eight years as well as Agrace Hospice staff who have caringly guarded over her comfort and gently guided our family through her end of life. Our undying gratitude to each and every one.
Our amazing Grace was born July 9, 1916 in Camp Douglas, WI, the daughter of the late Eugene and Gertrude (Moe) Buffington. A devoted mother, Grace made a home for herself and son, Tom, in Waunakee where she was employed by the Waunakee Telephone Company and then TDS from which she retired after over 40 years in 1985.

Grace is survived by her son, Tom (Cheryl) Hyslop of Goodyear, AZ; grandson, Trip (Cindy) Fuchs of Sebastopol, CA; great-grandchildren, Sage and Jasper Fuchs in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and their children, Terry (Al) Westergard, Sue (Greg) Evans, Pat (Jim-deceased) Sampson, Mike Rosier, Connie Alexander, John (Lin) Bauman, Dick (Rosaline) Hyslop, Bill (Emma) Hyslop, John (Bonnie) Hyslop, Jeff (Diane) Brown, and Karla Winningham. Grace now joins in eternal life her five siblings, Robert Buffington, June Bauman, Evelyn Dohm, Marian Rosier, and Leona Buffington.

Grace will lovingly remain in all our hearts and thoughts forever.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug 18, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q,Waunakee. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Dane Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Dane.
