MADISON-Glenn R. Hudrlik, passed away on May 22, 2023. He was born on October 12, 1938 in Berwyn, Illinois to Charles and Bessie Hudrlik.  Glenn was their youngest son.

Glenn graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering.  He taught Physics and Astronomy at Wright College for over 30 years.  Glenn made many long-time friends at Wright College including Jim Sichta, Ed Randell, Ronald Geni, and Rose and Lars Oknark.   Glenn spent the first half of his life as a bachelor, living in Brookfield, Willowbrook and Oakbrook, Illinois which is where he connected with his wife Becky Hudrlik.  He loved German Shepards and had at least three:  Vicky, Amber, and Heidi.

Glenn was extremely close with his brother LeRoy all the years of their lives.  Glenn would go over to Roy’s house at Drexel and Mockingbird at least 4 times a week.  They would play dice, poker, or pinochle, have a couple of drinks and dinner.  Glenn loved skiing, tennis, watching boxing and being outdoors.

Glenn married Becky on May 31, 1997.  Glenn and Becky enjoyed traveling and in 2007 they moved to Tucson, AZ.  Julie and Becky’s grandson Timothy McKittrick moved to Tucson to be closer to Mimi. Mimi had a scare, and successfully survived cancer.  They loved their time in Tucson, but they missed their family and friends in Chicago.  Glenn and Becky moved back to Chicago in 2012. Glenn and Becky moved to Wisconsin in 2017 to be closer to Cliff and his family.  Glenn and Becky have been at New Perspective ever since.

Glenn is survived by his grandson Timothy (Brittany) McKittrick, great grandchildren Camdyn and Skyler McKittrick, stepson Cliff (Jacinda) Burdon, grandchildren Meredith and Autumn Burdon, sister-in-law Riet Hudrlik, nieces Joanne Emrich, her children Madeleine (Ryan) and Brett, niece Shelly (John) McDaniels, her children Tyler and Chris McDaniels, and many relatives and dear friends.
