Gerda Ihm

MADISON - Gerda E. Ihm, age 87 passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday Jan. 17, 2016. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1928 to the late Otto and Anna (Schoen) Bier. She married Charles Ihm , the love of her life in Germany in 1947.

Gerda is survived by her 8 children; Ilona (Bob) Satterlee, Charles Jr. (Rose) Ihm, Charlene (Pat Forrer) Ihm, Carl Ihm, Lita (Pat Smith) Onsrud, Jacqueline Ihm, Gina (Miguel) Serna, and Janeen (Miguel) Ihm- Villalpando; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and 11 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday January 30, 2016 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare, and also a special thank you to Dr. Kaaren Paras, DC, Miguel Villalpando, Pat Forrer , Christopher Kaisershot, Pat Smith and Joy Peggs for all the care and assistance given to Gerda.
