Geraldine Bein

Stoughton - Geraldine Ann (Nelson) Bein, age 87, died peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI, on February 22, 1927 the second of three children to Clarence and Bernice (Tucker) Nelson. Gerry worked outside the home for most of her life in secretarial and accounting positions. She took pride in being an excellent and reliable employee. Gerry led an active life. She loved nature, picnicking at the lake and hiking in the woods; where she often gathered hickory nuts. Gerry had a beautiful smile and was kind to everyone she met. Gerry was always up for fun and enjoyed even the smallest moments in life. She was a loving and nurturing mother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two children Richard and Victoria Bein (Marjorie Manley); beloved granddog, Touille; two nieces Susan Stangby Sveum (Phil) and Carol Stangby; and former sister in law Angeline Bein. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband George E Bein; sister Jean (Harry) Stangby; and brother Robert (Barbara) Nelson. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Skaalen Chapel, 400 N Morris Street, Stoughton, WI with Rev. James Koza officiating. Friends may greet the family from 12 noon until the time of services on Monday. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation and Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
