Gerald 'Jerry' Johnson

Gerald L. Jerry' Johnson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Verona.   He was born in Elroy on January 16, 1931, a son of Leonard and Myrtle (Wood) Johnson.   He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Wangen on September 10, 1955 in LaCrosse.   Jerry served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and served on the Wisconsin State Police for 30 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1988.   He is survived by his wife, Mary; 2 sons, Paul (Trudi) and David (Julie) Johnson; 2 grandsons, Byron Gerald, and Noah Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Johnson.   He was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Quincy Johnson; and a brother, Robert Johnson.   Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11:00 am at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren, Stoughton, with the Rev.
