George Reilly

MADISON- George A. Reilly, age 82, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. He was born on September 29, 1934 to Bernard and Mabel (Helland) Reilly. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He then married Aileen Mather on April 27, 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baraboo. George was a Madison Firefighter for 28 years eventually retiring as a lieutenant.
George is survived by his wife Aileen; children Mary Jo (Matt) Kulzick, Tammy (T.C.) Miles, Nancy (Adel) Tabrizi, and Deanna Reilly; grandchildren Bob (Rachel), John, Kate, and Maggie (Alexis Urbano) Kulzick; Dallas and Skye Miles; Kristina (fiancé Peter Lively) and Angie Tabrizi; and great-grandchildren Zara and Emilio Salameh. He is further survived by siblings Bernard (Phyllis Carney) Reilly, Joanne (Donald) Levinski, and Janet Kleiboer; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. George was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Marian Voss, Rosemary Slaght, Jim FitzGibbon, Bob FitzGibbon, and Kathy Carlson. He will also be dearly missed by his fur-grandchildren Bristol and Charlotte.
A Gathering will take place from 9:30-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, WI 53717 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Friends and family will meet at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 2705 Regent St, Madison, WI 53705 to bring George to his final place of rest with full military honors.
George was loved and admired for his independent spirit, his mischievous wit, and his generosity in sharing all his talents.
Memorials in George's name are appreciated to either St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or Agrace HospiceCare.
