Gale Fulton

May 30, 1955 — April 7, 2015

Sun Prairie/DeForest - Gale F. Fulton, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg with his loving wife by his side, after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. He was born on May 30, 1955 in Madison, the son of William and Ernelle (Feuling) Fulton.

He graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1973. After high school he joined the military where he served 20 years in the Air Force and then the Army where he fought in The Vietnam War. He loved his job working for the Sun Prairie Area School District where worked for 20 years.

On December 20th, 1991 he married his loving wife Cheryl (Grimes) and became an amazing dad to her daughter Heather.

He was an avid animal lover, always showing compassion to any animal in need. He enjoyed spending the summer weekends with his family participating in civil war reenactments where he held the rank of Major in 4th US Cavalry. He was very involved in Masonic Fraternity where he was past Master of Armistead Bingham lodge #1862. He enjoyed collecting model trains, military aircraft and Nascar racecars. He loved listening to big band music, and the musical styling's of his daughter practicing the clarinet and flute. Overall he enjoyed living life to the fullest with his family by his side.

His loving wife, Cheryl Fulton; his wonderful daughter, Heather Rannells and two other children survive him. He will be deeply missed and remembered by many family members, friends, and pets. Gale was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother Dale.

A memorial service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 6651 Prairie View Drive, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Norway Grove Cemetery in DeForest. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shelter from the Storm.
