Obituary

Gail Marsh Tigges, known fondly to those who grew up with her as "Gailey," passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, to Bill and Norma Marsh, Gail grew up as one of seven siblings in a lively, warm home that set the foundation for her deep love of family and togetherness. A driven, independent, and determined woman, Gail built a career grounded in creativity and connection.

Alongside her longtime friend Cheryl, she co-founded successful hair salons. Over her 25 years as a talented hairstylist, Gail didn't just “style hair”-she built lasting, cherished relationships with generations of clients who quickly became lifelong friends. Her trademark confidence and sense of glamour were unmistakable, always anchored by her signature red lips and matching red nails.

Gail was the life of every gathering. She truly loved to entertain. She threw unforgettable parties. She brought people together for laughter and good times. She had an eye for style and spent many happy afternoons indulging in one of her favorite pastimes: shopping. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. After raising her two children, Gail found her soulmate in her husband, Jerry. Together, they shared 35 wonderful years of devoted love, companionship, and adventure, especially warm winter getaways and sunny days with friends in South Padre Island, Texas.

Gail, affectionately known as “G.G.” to her five grandchildren, found immense joy in spending time with them. Whether she and Jerry were taking them on trips to Disney, relaxing on the beaches of South Padre, or baking cookies together at home, those moments brought her great happiness.

Gail is survived by her loving husband Gerald Tigges; her children, Amy Dullere (David) and Scot Lapcinski (Adrienne Rivard); her five cherished grandchildren, Cameron Warne (Bailey), Maytie Warne, Emily Warne, Owen Lapcinski, Liam Lapcinski, her surviving siblings; and the countless friends and family members whose lives she touched with her loving warmth and energy.

Gail’s bold, confident style, fiercely independent spirit, warm memories, and joyful laughter endure as her lasting legacy.
