McFarland - Frederick A. "Fred" Heiman, age 77, passed away from cancer on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at his home surrounded by the loving arms of The Lord and his family. He was the beloved husband of Judie Urso Heiman. He was born in Marshall on April 19, 1938 to the late Adolph and Hattie Zenger Heiman. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. The week he returned home from the service he met the love of his life, whom he always called Saint Judie from the day he met her. They were married for 55 years. He was a semi driver, a builder and eventually started his own pole building construction company called J.R. Construction. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, builder, handy man, cowboy, hard worker, joker, and the man of our family. He truly did everything out of love for his family which was evident in the family photo's we had taken 6 weeks before his death. He loved being in the woods and would sit there for hours, watching nature, he was a hunter, golfer and a master craftsman. In later years he went back to leather work, something he used to do in the army. He and his wife loved their time in the country when they had horses and went on many trial rides in Mo., and all the horse friends they met. When they gave up horses they acquired a Model A car and many new friends. He remained strong until the end of his life. A great example to us all, displaying his strength, his love for the Lord, and love and concern for his wife and family. He died as he lived.
Fred is survived by his wife, Judie, three children, Freddy, Renee (Ken) Boyd and Gina: five grandchildren, Shannon, Deana, Dustin (Laura), Dani and Chase; one great grandson, Tyson Jakob; two brothers, Ed, (Linda), Larry (Myrna) and sister-in-law Mary; 3 step siblings, Larry, Ken and Rhonda: and many extended relatives and friends.
