Frank Rane, Jr.

MADISON - Frank J. Rane, Jr., age 68, of Madison, died on Saturday, Nov. 5th, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg after a short battle with cancer.

Frank was life-long resident of Madison, graduating from West High School, after which he joined the Army. He left the service to return to Madison to help his parents with the family business.

Frank, like his father, was very proud of his Italian heritage which his family enjoyed through his cooking. Frank was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and never missed one of his grandchildren's hockey or baseball games. Above everything, Frank valued his family.

Frank will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for family and a fantastic moustache. His children will especially miss his words of advice that he always gave whether or not anyone asked for it. They would now like to share with you a parting piece of wisdom Frank shared with them over the years. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Naomi Rane.

Frank is survived by his brother, Philip (Nancy) Rane; children, Christina (Cameron Harvey) Derene, Andrea Rane, Thomas Rane; grandchildren Austin and Taylor Derene, Jonah Rane; and special cousin Joe Rane.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison. A visitation will be held on Friday at church from 12 noon until the time of Mass.
