Frances Treinen

Madison - Frances "Fran" Mae Treinen, age 70 passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was born on April 10, 1947 in Prairie Du Chien, the daughter of Jerry and Inez Sauer. Fran grew up in Prairie Du Chien and attended elementary school. She then moved to Madison where she graduated from Madison Central High School. Fran attend cosmetology school and then went on to marry the love of her life. On February 15, 1969 Fran was united in marriage to Donald Treinen. She was an amazing artist and an award-winning ceramist. Fran was a loving mom, wonderful wife, and loved by all who knew her.

She was survived by her husband of 48 years, Don Treinen; two daughters, Marcia (Dave) Secor and Linda Bushee; granddaughter, Nicole Bushee; and sister, Mary Lu Sauer. Fran is also survived by other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dave Sauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 North Sherman Avenue, Madison on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 am with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Fran's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2800 Royal Avenue, Madison, WI 53713.
