Frances Pottinger

McFarland- Frances Ann Pottinger born Dec. 2 1932 passed away peacefully Jan. 17, 2014. She was raised on her family farm on Madison's east side, graduated from East High and worked as a Vet Tech. Working at Romaker Animal Hospital, she met her husband Earl when he brought in a sample of horse manure to the vet clinic for testing. WI High School Rodeo was a large part of their lives. Through their involvement they met many lifelong friends.

Fran and Earl brought up three sons, having frequent Sunday dinners with extended family just down the road at her parents. Together they ran a horse boarding business, raised beef cattle, pigs, rodeo bulls and fresh vegetables.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents John and Emma Anderson, husband Earl Henry Pottinger, sister Ella Walheim and eldest son Charles. She is survived by son Bradley (Kathi), his son Eric, great granddaughter Amara, son Daniel (Linda) and granddaughter Madalyn. She will be dearly missed by her niece Donna Anderson, nephew Robert Scheidel (Donna), great nieces and nephews, Kismet, Jeff, Amy, Jennifer, Bess, Chad, Justin, Emma, Jacob and many more relatives and dear friends.
