Frances Louise (Fetherston) Nahabedian passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Il on March 22, 1953, to Francis T. and Catherine O. (nee Smith) Fetherston.
Frances worked a varied career path starting as a travel agent in Madison WI, then in Minneapolis, MN leading to technology marketing roles with American Airlines, Sabre, Travelocity.com, and Budget Rent A Car. Later Fran branched out into Business Development and eCommerce positions with Berbee Information Network and Netconcepts, with two stints as an independent consultant in those fields. She finished her professional career at the Wisconsin Foundation as a project manager and data records manager. Fran was also instrumental in developing the online presence for her sister’s family’s businesses. Frances followed her parents and sisters to the Madison Theatre Guild of the 60s and 70s as both a child performer and later as a Stage Manager. She enjoyed Broadway Shows, reading, horseback riding, Corgis, Madison Scouts, Badger Hockey, football, and traveling with her husband Bill in their RV and cruising. Above all, Fran was a loving, devoted, and supportive wife, sister, aunt, and friend.
Frances is survived by her husband, William Nahabedian Jr; sisters: Janet Ross (Robert), and Judith Lynch (Daniel); nephews: Timothy Ross (Jahana Azodi), and Andrew Ross (Tamara Miller); niece, Tracy Lynch (Joseph Boville); and great nephews: Ayden Ross and Jack Ross. Frances is further survived by her sister-in-law, Jane Mahle (Thomas); and brother-in-law, Steven Nahabedian; niece, Christen Baranyai (Jeremy); nephew Thomas Mahle; and great nieces: Eva Baranyai, Vivian Baranyai; and great nephew, Ethan Baranyai . She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Catherine; and father and mother-in-law, William and Carolyn Nahabedian.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Avenue, Madison followed by a Celebration of Life with light fare and refreshments in the Cress Center Terrace Room. A visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon from 5 until 7 p.m. and on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wisconsin Public Television or Agrace Hospice.
Frances had a motto she lived by. "My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dogs think I am."
