Frances Bryson

Madison - Frances Edith Williamson Bryson died peacefully at home on October 2, 2013 surrounded by family. She was born October 21, 1920 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Mabel Augusta Wight and William Howard Williamson. She attended Denison University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She was predeceased in 2008 by her husband of 56 years, Reid Allen Bryson.
Fran's four children were all here in Madison with her at the end, coming from all over the US and from Germany.
The family wishes to express their thanks to all the friends at Heritage Oaks who meant a lot to Fran and her children. Her friends at the knitting, quilting, bridge and book groups meant a lot to her, as did her wonderful neighbors.
The family will have a private family memorial but hopes that friends will remember her when they eat mint chocolate ice cream or chocolate chip cookies.
If desired, contributions may be given to the Reid Bryson Scholarship fund at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin, to Agrace Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
