Florence Spangler

Madison - Florence Spangler, age 94 passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. She was born on December 15, 1921 in Prairie du Sac, the daughter of Herman and Alma (Krintz) Boettcher.

On September 27, 1958 Florence was united in marriage to Robert Spangler in Madison. She lived in Prairie du Sac for 25 years and for the over the past 50 years in the Madison area. Florence worked for the State of Wisconsin for 32 years until her retirement on December 31, 1985. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Florence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her step daughter; Jean Ganser and two sisters in law; Patricia Boettcher and Linda Boettcher. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in June of 1970 and five siblings; Arleen Rudolph, Leon Boettcher, Elvera Merrill, Harley Boettcher and James Boettcher.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 E. Washington, Madison on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Margo Martens officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of services.
