Florence Lassow

Sun Prairie/Wausau- Florence M. Lassow, age 94, passed away on December 21, 2013, at Oak Park Place in Madison. She was born on May 20, 1919 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Elsie (Dahlke) Oelhafen. She was united in marriage to Eugene Lassow on September 27, 1941 in Wausau. Florence worked for Wisconsin Valley Trust Co. for 13 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Elks Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, socializing with friends, family gatherings, her cat Peppie, RVing, camping and traveling. Florence volunteered in the gift shop at the Colonial Club.

Florence is survived by her children, Buzz (Linda) Lassow, Ron (Nancy) Lassow and Peggy Czechowicz; grandchildren, Tracy, Tammy, Rhonda, Ryan, Rick, Greg, Jenny and Kelly; 14 great grandchildren; a nephew Bill Lassow; her bridge playing friends and Sunwood friends. A special thank you to the Wickert family for all their care and friendship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Laverne, son-in-law, Dennis, and daughter-in-law, Joan.

A graveside service will be held at RESTLAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 4701 North Troy Street, Wausau, on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 12:30 p.m.
