Madison- Florence "Poodle Grandma" Goodwin, age 99, passed away on February 26, 2015 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was born on October 10, 1915, the daughter of John and Minnie (Pribbernow) Kripps in Deansville, Wisconsin. Florence worked for the United Way in Madison as a homemaker for ten years. She was a faithful member of Martin Luther Church in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Florence is survived by one son, Earl Goodwin Jr. of Madison; two daughters, Trudy (John) Backer of Neenah and Debbie (Jerry) Wood of Madison, ten grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Caroline O'Malley of Madison and her dog, Ginger.
Her husband Earl Goodwin preceded her in death on Thanksgiving morning in 1961. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Harold, Chester, Jack, William, George and Leon Kripps, a sister, Dorothy Coughlin and sister-in-law, Ruth Kujath.
A celebration of Florence's life will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:30pm with a time to gather with the family from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
