New Orleans / Madison - Florence Ward Friedman, age 104 years, died in New Orleans, LA on Friday, May 8, 2009. Wife of the late Morris Jack Friedman. Sister of the late Rose ""Tinnie"" Ward Epstein, a longtime Madison, WI resident and the late Edna Ward Hirsch, former Chicago, IL resident. Aunt of Ronald N. Epstein and Richard L. Epstein, both of New Orleans and Gloria Hirsch Flanzer of Northfield, IL. Also survived by 5 great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Friedman was a resident of New Orleans for the past 16 years and former resident of Madison, WI for 21 years and was a member of Temple Beth El. Graveside services will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1 Speedway Road, Madison, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rabbi Bonnie Margulis officiating.
