Florence Folbrecht

Stoughton – Florence M. Folbrecht, age 96, passed away on November 10, 2022, at Edgerton Care Center.  She was born on January 22, 1926, in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of William and Hazel (Mindham) Kane.  She married Paul Folbrecht in Seneca, Wisconsin on September 30, 1947 who preceded her in death on August 28, 1997.  Together they moved to Stoughton in 1950.

Florence was a longtime active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church where her faith was her guide.  They owned the Stoton Restaurant where they were known for their pies.  She then owned and operated the Quick Stop and finished her career in real estate.  Florence was always there to help others with her kindness and generosity.  She had a wonderful family.  Florence enjoyed many wonderful vacations in the Bahamas.  She brought leadership and creativity around the world with her participation in Friendship Force.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Folbrecht and Terry (Robinelle) Folbrecht;  granddaughter Kara (Justin) FitzGerald; great grandchildren Jordan (Jasmine) FitzGerald and Kendra FitzGerald;  sisters, Ruth Ertle and Rose Larsen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded by her husband Paul; and many siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday November 14, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at church.  She will be laid to rest at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to St. Ann Catholic Church or Agrace Hospicecare.
