Everett Coltharp

MERRIMAC/WAUNAKEE-Everett W. Coltharp, age 69, left us and into the grace of our Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his home in Merrimac after a courageous battle with Cancer. Everett passed away peacefully, in the loving arms of his wife, Toni. He was born in Clay Center, Kansas on Aug. 10, 1946, to Harold and Viola (Selders) Coltharp. He lived the first few years of his life on the Coltharp family homestead near there, moving to Wisconsin in 1962, with his family. He married Toni Slansky on Nov. 2, 1963, and ultimately moved to the Merrimac area. Everett was employed at the Equipment Depot for over 30 years as a service technician. Everett had an endearing passion for fishing, hunting and trap shooting and was a mentor to many family members and friends that enjoyed the same pass-times. But his greatest joy was his wife and family and all the time they spent together.

Survivors include his wife, Toni; one daughter, Kim (Warren Jr.) Lyerly; grandchildren, Amanda, Nate, Austin, Warren and Alesha; two great-grandchildren, Dane and Bryce; a brother, Harold (Judy); and a daughter-in-law, Pam. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mike and Cliff; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday March 18, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy. Q, Waunakee. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
