Evelyn V. Martinson

Evelyn V. Martinson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Skaalen Home.   She was born in Edgerton on May 10, 1921, a daughter of Adolph and Minnie (Hawkinson) Anderson.   In 1939, she was united in marriage to Melvin P. Martinson in Edgerton.   She is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) Martinson, James Martinson, Barbara (friend Bill) Martinson, Jill (Richard) Nichols, and Peggy Martinson; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Myron Anderson; and 2 sisters-in-law, Loraine and Sally Anderson.   She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin; son Gerald; grand daughter, Susan; her parents; four brothers; and a sister.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11:00am at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with the Rev. Richard Halom officiating.   Burial, at Eastside Cemetery, and a luncheon at the Stoughton VFW Hall will follow.   The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
