Green Bay/Madison - Evan Joseph Meder, age 8, passed away on May 22, 2013. He was an Ambassador of Joy to everyone he met.
Evan was born on June 13, 2004 in Raleigh, NC. He had Apert Syndrome, a rare craniofacial disorder that affected most of the bones in his body, and required many surgeries throughout his brief life. Despite his physical limitations and medically fragile condition, Evan approached every day and every event with infectuous enthusiam. Even day to day tasks that most of us simply endure were exciting opportunities to Evan that needed to be savored and enjoyed.
Evan loved everyone, bringing people together to see life through his joy filled eyes. He loved playing with his big brother, spending time with his Mommy and running errands with his Daddy. He loved fishing, playing baseball in the Miracle League, singing and dancing. Evan loved every new experience, loved seeing his friends and family, and meeting new people. Everyone who met him was instantly changed by his joyful spirit. Evan taught us all what was important in life and how to get the most out of every moment.
Evan is survived by his parents Randall and Margaret (Jackson) and his brother, Jonathan; grandparents, Jerome and Judy Meder and Margaret Anne Jackson and many other relatives and friends.
