Eugene Latsch

January 31, 1943 — April 19, 2016

Deerfield - Eugene M. Latsch, age 73 passed away at London Lodge on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 31, 1943 in Watertown, Wisconsin, the son of Martin and Lillian (Blasing) Latsch.

Eugene proudly served in the United States Navy. In 1967, Eugene was united in marriage to Victoria Jeanne Severson at Bethel Lutheran Church. Over the years, Eugene was a mechanic for many dealerships and worked in maintenance at St. Mary's Hospital until his accident in 1981. In his younger years, Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to the Special Touch Camp at Spencer Lake in Waupaca. Most of all, his family was precious to his heart. Following his accident, Eugene did not have the ability to speak but he had an amazing capability to touch everyone's heart. Eugene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eugene is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 49 years; Victoria "Vicki" Latsch, two children; Travis (Caroline) Latsch and Staci (Tom) Burns, two grandchildren; Crystal (Kaleb) Pohlman and Nicole Latsch, five great grandchildren; Jacey, Declan, Isla, Ole, and Addison and his sister; Judy Jacob.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Clarence Latsch and Dwayne Latsch and a brother-in-law; Russell Jacob.

Memorial services will be held at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3439 Oak Park Road, Deerfield on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Holly Slater officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9:30 am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Eugene to London Lodge, W9097 London Road, Deerfield, WI 53531 or to St. Mary's Adult Day Care, 2440 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI 53704.

The family would like to thank the staff at London Lodge and St. Mary's Adult Day Care for all the love, care and attention given to Eugene over the years. They would also like to thank Rainbow Hospice for their support and loving care given to Eugene and his family during his final days.
