Ethel Anding

Madison - Ethel M. Anding, age 91, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on February 4, 1923 to Rudolph and Fannie (Shaer) Ammon in Monticello in Green County. Ethel was united in marriage on February 22, 1946 to Elmer W. Anding. They were married at the Swiss E&R Church by Rev. Walter J. Stuckey. Ethel worked at Oscar Mayer's, Ohio Chemical, later at VA Hospital, and Pediatric ICU at the University of Wisconsin Hospital where she worked for 38 years retiring twice. She also was a lifetime member of the VFW, and a VA volunteer for 20+ years, dedicating over 10,000 hours of volunteer time. She also cared for her husband, Elmer, until he passed. Ethel was a former member of the Advent Christian Church and is a current member of West Madison Bible Church until her passing.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Alice (Richard) Williams of Clinton, Kentucky; her sister, Marlene (Charles) Williams; and grandchildren, Richard P. (Corinne) Williams of Madison; Christopher (Katie) Williams of Murray, KY; Steven (Tara) Williams of Fulton, KY; Dr. Kurt (Dr. Beth) Nielson of Denver, CO; and, Mrs. Elizabeth (Michael) Tenore of Mesa, Az; as well as great-grandchildren: Calvin and Abby, Shawn and Luke, Mary Reese and Conner, and Jack and Claire.

Mrs. Anding was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her daughter, Nancy, brothers Rudy, and John, and sister, Mildred.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 4 - 6 pm at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI 53705. A funeral service will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2 o'clock at the West Madison Bible Church, 2920 Hwy M, Verona, WI 53593 with Pastor Dan Kukasky presiding. Friends and family may call from 1 o'clock Sunday until time of service.
