Esperanza C. Herbas Bustamante, de 68 años, originaria de Cochabamba, Bolivia, falleció el 23 de abril de 2026 en Middleton, Wisconsin, dejando tras de sí un legado de fortaleza, calidez y despreocupación.

Esperanza llevó siempre consigo el espíritu de su tierra natal. De niña, encontraba una alegría pura en la belleza tranquila de un arroyo y los verdes campos de arvejas de su querida Cochabamba; fue allí donde nació su amor por las plantas y las flores, una pasión que la acompañó durante toda su vida.

Conocer a Esperanza era sentirse instantáneamente rodeado de su calidez y su paz. Era una mujer de una dualidad poco común: una "guerrera de la vida" que poseía una fuerza inmensa y un espíritu trabajador, y al mismo tiempo, un ser maravillosamente caprichoso y de espíritu libre. Quienes se sentaban frente a ella en una mesa de juego lo sabían muy bien: era una jugadora feroz y competitiva de Rummy y Farkle, ¡y siempre había que tener cuidado con ella!

Su corazón era inmenso, pero pertenecía plenamente a su familia y a su compañero. Adoraba a sus hijos y nietos, y el amor por ellos fue la fuerza que guió su vida. Se le extrañará profundamente, pero la paz y el amor que cultivó permanecerán en todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

Le sobreviven: Sus hijos: Iris (Felipe), Carlos, Rodrigo y Fabio. Su compañero: Ron. Sus nietos: Nathan, Damian, Emma y Diego. Sus hermanos: Raúl (Patricia), José Antonio (Katty) y Gonzalo. Familiares y amigos en Wisconsin y Bolivia.

Esperanza C. Herbas Bustamante, 68, of Cochabamba-Bolivia, passed away on April 23rd of 2026, in Middleton-Wisconsin, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and carefreeness.

Esperanza carried the spirit of her homeland with her throughout her life. As a young girl, she found pure joy in the quiet beauty of the creek and the lush pea patches of the countryside in her native Cochabamba, initiating her love for plants and flowers that always followed her.

To know Esperanza was to feel instantly surrounded by her warmth and peace. She was a woman of rare duality; she was a "warrior of life" who possessed immense strength and a hardworking spirit, yet she was also wonderfully whimsical and free-spirited. Those who sat across from her at a game table knew this well—she was a fierce and competitive player of Rummy and Farkle, and you always had to watch out!

Her heart was vast, but it belonged most fully to her family and her partner. She adored her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was the guiding force of her life.

She will be profoundly missed, but the peace and love she cultivated will remain with all who were lucky enough to know her.

Esperanza is survived by: her kids Iris (Felipe), Carlos, Rodrigo, Fabio. Partner: Ron. Grandkids: Nathan, Damian, Emma & Diego. Siblings: Raul (Patricia), Jose Antonio (Katty), Gonzalo. Family and Friends in Wisconsin and Bolivia.

She was preceded in death by Maria Emma Herbas Bustamante & Adalberto Alpire Ayala.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday May 4, 2026 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm.
