Ernst-Christian Kluge

Ernst-Christian Kluge, husband of Cora Lee Kluge of Madison, died on Monday, November 27, 2017, in Madison after a brief illness. Born in Breslau, Germany, on July 20, 1931, he had a long and distinguished career as an officer and battalion commander in the Army of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition, he was an avid and accomplished skier, having taken part in the Nordic combined event in the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria. In addition to his wife, Lieutenant Colonel Kluge leaves behind three daughters, two grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends in Europe, as well many friends and family members in the United States. Private burial services will be held in Madison, followed by funeral services in Heidenheim/Hahnenkamm, Germany. A memorial celebration in Madison will be announced at a later date.
