Erna A. Thomas

Madison -- Erna A. Thomas, age 91, died on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. Erna was born on April 2, 1919 to John and Alice Hefty in New Glarus. Erna grew up in New Glarus, moving to Madison after high school. On February 14, 1950, she was married to Theodore ""Ted"" Thomas in Madison. She is survived by her two sons, Randall (Cindy) and Bill (Sandy); five grandchildren, Karin, Patrick, Diana, Randall Jr. and Robin; three great-grandchildren, Ian, Tanner and Katelyn; a brother, Cloyance Hefty; a niece, Lisa; and nephew, Chris. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison with a visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
