Erik Richard Johnson died unexpectedly of a heart attack on May 28th at his home in Madison. He was born on February 15th, 1967 to Richard and Roberta Johnson. Erik graduated from Memorial High School and attended college at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where he was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a degree in Economics.

Erik took pride in being a small business owner for years. Erik aka EJ was an avid fisherman, golfer, Formula One race car fan and hockey enthusiast. He enjoyed working on his many cars and was a member of the Alpha Romeo Club. He also had a passion for dogs particularly golden retrievers and his current golden, Maxwell will miss him. He spent many happy days up at the family cabin near Hayward, Wi. He has met many friends from all over the world, always curious about the different cultures.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Roberta Johnson and his brother Thomas (Karen).

A private service for Erik will be held at a later date.
