Erik Michael Farmer, age 53, born on January 14, 1971, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away March 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Erik was baptized at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Madison, and confirmed at Christ Church in Whitefish Bay.
Growing up in Shorewood, Wisconsin, alongside his sister Molly, Erik played baseball, football and basketball at Shorewood High School. After graduating in 1989, Erik continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, proudly serving as President of Theta Delta Chi fraternity.
In 2001, he married Beth Clancy, and together they welcomed their beloved daughter, Magdalene India Farmer, who brought immense joy to their lives.
Erik will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, humor, charisma, and love, as well as his passion for the Beatles, his home town of Shorewood, the movie Halloween, spirited discussions about conspiracy theories, chocolate chip cookies and time spent at the family cabin, which brought him great happiness and provided special moments with his loved ones.
He is survived by his daughter Maggie, parents Libby and Ralph, sister Molly (Mike) Strigel, nieces Evie and Eden Strigel, best friend Beth, Uncle Mike (Janine), Aunt Mary (Mark), cousins Judy, Beezer, John, Melissa, Dan, Paul, Joe, Jennifer, Adam, Hayley, Emily, and many friends. Erik's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his Aunt Beverly (Dale) Scharine, Uncles Jim and Jack (Gertrud) Barnard, grandparents Prof. John and Mrs. Margaret (Peg) Barnard, Jeanne and Ralph Farmer Sr., and his cherished dog, Winnie.
Erik treasured his time with his beloved Maggie, and because of her he held on as long as he could. Finally, he had to let go.
Rest in Peace, son.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.
