Eric Cumblad

Sun Prairie- Eric Karl Cumblad, age 39, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 following a brief illness. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on July 19, 1974, the son of Kent and Beth Cumblad. Eric graduated from Stoughton High School in 1993 and attended UW-Madison. He enjoyed sports and lettered in golf, soccer and basketball. On December 5, 2008, Eric married Michele. He worked as a network administrator and IT Coordinator for several local companies. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Michele; beloved daughter, Makenna; parents, Kent and Beth; sister, Cari (Shawn) Coyle; niece, Sarah; nephew, Samuel; paternal grandmother, Martha Cumblad; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ovid and Phyllis Bouley; paternal grandfather, Frederick Cumblad; and uncle, Paul Cumblad. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Friends and relatives are invited to a light reception following at the Stoughton Country Club. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of services Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Makenna Cumblad Scholarship Fund, c/o Farmers & Merchants Union Bank, P.O. Box 226, Columbus, WI, 53925. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Cardiac ICU staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their extraordinary dedication, skill, and compassion.
