MADISON-
Elsie F. McWilliams, age 93, of Madison passed away on Monday, February 20th, 2017 at the Villa at Middleton Village. She was born on December 19th, 1923 in Yuba, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Briskey) Levy. She married William C. McWilliams on May 2nd, 1969. He preceded her in death in May of 1983.
Elsie worked at Fanny Farmer on the square and West Towne until retirement. After her retirement, for many years Elsie ran in-home childcare. She was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish since the late 1960s.
Elsie is survived by her sisters, Evelyn Peterson of Monona and Ramona Lingevitch of North Lake, Ill; nieces and nephews, David (Sharon) Rosol of Mt Horeb, Jane (Ken) Deckert of Scales Mound, IL, Dan (Kathy) Lingevitch of Startenbourg, South Carolina, Joe (Sue) Lingevitch of Alexandria, VA, and Mona (David) Cattapan of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Julia Rosol.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held at church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace or the Catholic Multicultural Center.
