In Loving Memory
Elmer M. Denman, age 75, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2015, after a brief illness with cancer. He was born on May 8, 1939 in Richland Center, son to Allen and Wanda (West) Denman. Elmer was united in marriage to Patricia Gustin at Durward's Glen in Baraboo on June 30, 1962. He graduated from Baraboo High School and then he joined the Navy in July of 1958.Elmer along with his business partner, Joseph Bolan, opened Prairie Glass in 1975. He remained active in the glass trade business for over 50 years. Elmer was an avid hunter, bowler and enjoyed woodworking, especially making various boxes. He also loved to shoot trap with his son and play cribbage with his wife. Elmer is survived by his wife Patricia of 52 years; son Jonathan (Tammy) and grandson Logan; sisters Lorraine Pickel of Reedsburg, June (Gordon) Jensen of Baraboo and Sharon (Charles) Aiello of Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Martin. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30am, Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie, with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The family would like to give special thanks to Agrace, Meriter Hospital, the staff at UW Clinic on East Towne Boulevard, and staff at Columbus Hospital Cardiac Rehab Center for their compassionate care of Elmer.
