Ella Frye

Madison - Ella J. Frye, age 93, passed away peacefully Friday, April 04, 2014 at Sebring Assisted Living. Ella was born in Sun Prairie, WI on November 21, 1920 to the late Herman and Julia (Sweet) Woerpel. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School and was united in marriage to the late Clayton P. Frye on August 31, 1938. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. She and Clayton lived in the Crestwood neighborhood of Madison for over 60 years and she enjoyed the close-knit community.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Thomas M. (Susan) Frye of Madison, 3 grandchildren; Dr. Thomas P. (Ashley) Frye of Springfield, IL, Dr. Julia (Luke) Harris of Wauwatosa, WI, Michael C. Frye of Prairie du Chien, WI; two great-granddaughters Olivia and Sabrina Harris; other relatives and friends.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband Clayton and her brothers Charles, Leslie, Robert and Edmund.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Bart Timmerman presiding.
