WAUNAKEE-Elizabeth L. "Betty" Raemisch passed away peacefully in God's arms on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at the Waunakee Manor Assisted Living in Waunakee. Betty was a lifelong resident of Waunakee. She was born on July 20, 1929, to Norbert and Regina (Keller) Miller. Betty and her loving husband, Bob, were united in holy matrimony on May 11, 1950, at St John's Church where Betty was an active member her whole life. As part of her family's traditions, Betty worked in her parents' grocery store learning how to deal with people and providing gracious service to customers. Betty was also great support to her husband with FH Raemisch and Sons. She was a wonderful spouse and mother. Known as a great cook, friends and neighbors would eagerly await one of Betty's great desserts. During retirement years, Betty and Bob would spend several months in Florida, Arizona or Texas. They always enjoyed their return home to Waunakee. When traveling, Betty was always the recording secretary for several of the RV camper clubs. Always a music lover, she enjoyed playing her keyboard.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; five children, Jeanne (Christopher) Cera, David " Sprocket" (Mary), Richard (Marge), Stephen "Duke" (Theresa), and Nancy (Christopher) Krug; grandchildren, Natalie (Donald) Tubbs, Audrey (Jorge) Proano, Robbie and Carmen Krug, Gayle (Larry) Paul, Matt and Jesse Bowman, and Kristin (Ryan) Machkovech; great-grandchildren, Madysen and Lauryn Paul, Jason Bowman, and Tyrion Machkovech; her siblings, Ken (Rosie) Miller, Dick (Darlene) Miller, and Jim (Hy) Miller; sister-in-law, Carol Miller; and special cousin, Dean (Mary) Hein and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the WINN CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 Hwy. Q, Waunakee on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
