Elizabeth Plendl

Waunakee -Elizabeth A. Plendl age77, died on Monday Sept 13, 2010 at University Hospital in Madison. The former Betty Buechner was born at home on Feb 10, 1933 to Carl and Catherine (Hellenbrand) Buechner. She married William (Bill) Plendl on July 2, 1955. Betty worked many years for the State of Wisconsin, and was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee.

Survivors include her husband Bill, children Steve (Ann) Plendl, Kathy (Keith) Clemens, Karen (Larry) Meinholz, Dan (Chris) Plendl, Rich (Kris) Plendl, Kevin (Deb ) Plendl, 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers Charlie (Louis) Buechner, Andy Buechner, sister's Delores Ripp, Lorina Buechner, Rosie Johnson, Sr. Mary Buechner and in-laws Edith Buechner, Elaine Buechner and Gilbert Stephen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Phillip, brothers Florian and Anthony and a sister Cyrilla Stephen and in-laws Adela Buechner, Jerome Ripp, and Ken Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Thurs Sept 16, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St Waunakee, Msgr James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home on Wed. Sept 15, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Thurs from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her greatest joy was her family. Her wonderful sense of humor, compassion and chocolate bonbons will be missed by many.
