Evansville - Elizabeth (Liz) Marie Algrim Schultz, 95, passed away on March 4th, 2025.

She was born in Stoughton, Wisconsin on October 17, 1929. Her parents were Clara and Christian Algrim, farmers in Stoughton. She is preceded in death by her brothers Alf (Alice), Norman (Beth), and Christian (Marian) Algrim. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Aunt Liz (affectionately nicknamed Issy) was cherished by her nieces and nephews: Karren (Jerry) Briggs, Carolyn Butts, Vicki (Glenn) Langfoss, Steve Algrim, Martin (Renee) Algrim, Corrine (Patrick) Boyle. Nephew Arnold Algrim deceased. Corrine’s daughter, Kelsey, grew up loving her as ‘Grandma.’

She began her career after graduating from Stoughton High School, at Madison Drug Company in 1947 in accounts receivable progressing to the UW Department of Horticulture as a bookkeeper. She returned to Evansville and worked at Baker Manufacturing and then Maas Insurance Agency until 1959 when she moved to Denver, Colorado, where she worked in an auditing firm and with an investment banker until 1961 when Liz returned to Evansville, got married, worked in dairy farming and returned to Baker Manufacturing where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years until she retired. After retirement, she continued to be active, working part time at Walmart for several years.

She had many hobbies, including cross-country skiing, ballroom dancing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, crosswords and various word puzzles. She loved jigsaw puzzles.

She traveled to Norway twice for sightseeing and to visit family. Her Norwegian roots were special to her.

Liz had many long friendships; a testament to the wonderful, kind, and generous person she was during her long life on this earth. Her friends and family will miss her dearly.

A memorial gathering will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday April 26, 2025, at CREEKSIDE PLACE, 102 Maple St. Evansville, WI 53536.
